Thank you for visiting martens studios
In 17th- and 18th-century
northern Italy, violin makers were
building what would become the most awe-inspiring string instruments of
modern times. Cremona, Italy became the epicenter of the violin making
world.
Martens Studios draws from this Cremonese tradition, from the scientific aspects of crafting violins to the subtle techniques of imitating the powerful Italian core sound.
Trained at Indiana University-Bloomington, Paul Martens is a Madison, Wisconsin-based violin maker and musician.
